Thesis:
Until World War ll women were held to a matronly standard that restricted their potential as equal members of society. World War ll was a turning point for women because not only were they given the opportunity to show their knowledge and skill, but they were determined to break barriers that society set for them. These women were courageous enough to go above and beyond their standards as housewives that changed the roles of women forever.
